We encourage thoughtfulness about the decision to become a Member of our society. Becoming a Member means you feel at home with us. If you’ve been church-shopping, becoming a member means you’re ready to buy. Becoming a Member says this congregation is your community—for some, it is your spiritual home — perhaps not forever, but for now. If this is you, it could be time to join.
You become a Member by:
• Accepting the responsibilities of membership as stated in our by-laws: Members agree to support each other in the search for truth and meaning; to engage in respectful discourse with other members; to support the congregation by personal participation in congregational activities and by making an annual financial pledge to the congregation at a level to be determined by the member according to his or her circumstances.
• Signing the Membership Book in the presence of the minister or a member of the board of trustees.
We recommend that you consider attending the classes for potential new members that are held from time to time. They consist of four 2 hour sessions, usually after the Sunday service at noon.
Next Class is being offered by Bill and Mary Cambre on February 21, 2010 at
Noon for four Sundays: Feb 21,28, March 7 and 14.
